Compared to the standard-sized Dachshund, Miniature Dachshunds weigh in at 11 pounds or less – but don’t let their smaller stature fool you. Miniature Dachshunds have bold personalities and are particularly playful both with other dogs and their beloved humans. While they may not require as much as other, much larger breeds, Miniature Dachshunds still enjoy (and require) sufficient exercise.

 

Regular walks and at least an hour or so of playtime helps to keep this breed in peak physical health. As an added bonus, the time you spend helping your pup burn some energy will be rewarded with plenty of cuddle time later in the day as you curl up on the couch to relax.
